We know it can be a very demanding job, but please be aware there is help there for you. If you are a carer, please let us know – we will do everything we can to help
Support for carers
As a carer, you must make a point of taking care of yourself as well as the person you are caring for. Please make sure you’re taking regular breaks and making time for yourself.
Your GP will be able to provide you with really useful support, advice and information. For example, they can refer you to local support networks in your area or help you understand what you’re entitled to as a carer – such as a free flu jab.
It’s important to tell them about your caring responsibilities so that they can offer support.
The NHS website provides an abundance of information on carers and caregiving. We have included some links to the website below that we believe may be beneficial for you.
